What founders.casa is

founders.casa gives a Founder one public page, their Profile, at founders.casa/@handle. It says who they are, roughly how old they are, where they are and where to reach them. Nothing happens on founders.casa itself: connecting happens wherever a Link leads. Reading the site needs no account.

A Profile is written by the Founder it belongs to. We do not check whether anyone is really a founder, and being one is not something we verify or enforce.

How old you have to be

A free Profile needs you to be 16 or older. Both paid products, the Supporter tier and a Slot, need you to be 18 or older. An age is printed on a Profile only from 18, so a Founder of 16 or 17 has a Profile whose birth date is kept and not shown.

You declare your age by claiming a Profile. We ask rather than verify, and we collect no identity document.

Your Profile

One Login holds one Profile. A Handle is held by one Profile at a time, and it becomes free again only when that Profile is deleted. You may edit your Profile at any time and delete it at any time, and deleting it means it is gone.

You are responsible for what you put on your Profile and for where your Links lead.

When we suspend a Profile

There is no review queue: a Profile is public the minute it is claimed, and moderation happens after the fact. A Suspension takes a Profile out of view until it is lifted, on one of six grounds and no others:

  • Impersonating someone else
  • Being under 16
  • Not being a person
  • Links that lead somewhere harmful
  • An offensive name or Handle
  • Profiles created in bulk

Not being a "real" founder is not a ground. A suspended Profile keeps its Handle, and the Login behind it cannot claim another one. When a Suspension is lifted, the Profile returns unchanged.

A Suspension brings no refund. If you hold a Supporter subscription or a Slot, it is not repaid, in whole or in part, for the time your Profile is out of view.

Reporting a Profile

Anyone can report a Profile, with or without an account, by writing to [email protected]. Tell us the address of the Profile, why you think it breaks the law or these terms, your name, and confirm that what you tell us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

We confirm that we received your Report, decide it, and tell you what we decided and on what ground. Where a Report suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the authorities.

What money buys

A Supporter pays yearly, carries a badge and stands above the free Profiles of their own Place. A Slot is one of the three positions at the top of a Place page, bought once and held for the lifetime of the service.

Money buys standing on this site and nothing else. It never makes a Link followable: a Link carries ugc nofollow while a Profile is free and sponsored ugc once it is paid, and neither passes any weight to where it leads. Paying changes the label a search engine reads, never a decision about a Suspension.
